These models where made when I thought the film was going to be a more steampunk style

 I started off with some really rough sketches.

 I then went and made a silhouette version of it on the computer. The design is close to what I want but the shape of the body is wrong.

All I did to get the body shape of the adult was lengthen and sharpen the figures of my design of the kid.

Inspiration for character design

 

The like Mews design, especially its ears.  

The Heartless from Kingdom hearts are very close to the way I would like my characters to look.

Oh yea and the cat it cool.

Stereoscopic group project idea

I was thinking something similar to this but using digital 3D models.
